The 2017 French Open
... starts today.

is it time for a changing of the guard ?
in the mens, the big four are accumulating age and injuries. in the womens, Serena is up the duff and Sharapova didnt qualify .

i'll pick two to have a good run ;

mens = Sascha ZVEREV

womens = Svetlana KUZNETSOVA
.

Mostly weeds who were frightened of her

Re: The 2017 French Open
Hard to see past Nadal in the men's and svitolina has been in outrageous form on the clay, so I've had a fiver on her at 7/1.

Good to see my favourite kvitova back after being stabbed.

Re: The 2017 French Open
Agree that if Nadal is anywhere near fit, which he is, you can't really go past him for the French.
Federer is giving it a miss to focus on Wimbledon and both Djokovic & Murray have been in a bit of a slump. Be interesting to see if Djokovic can bounce back with Agassi in his corner now.
About time some of the next generation stepped up like Thiem who beat Nadal in the Italian last week.

Re: The 2017 French Open
Murray's really not looking great at the moment.

Going through quite the SLUMP as is Djokovic. Lots of opportunities for other players at the moment. (Apart from in France where no doubt Nadal will win)

Brilliant set of tennis that.

Re: The 2017 French Open
Missed the last point. Was it definitely out? Del Potro looks absolutely gutted.

That has knocked the stuffing right out of him.

Re: The 2017 French Open
Shocking how many empty seats there are for a match involving the world number 1.

Centre court would be rammed out for a match like this, whether it featured Murray, or another top ten player.

Re: The 2017 French Open
French are such pricks.

Silence at Murray winning the second set.
